http://www.flickr.com/groups/1958196@N20/ - Nope, none of my photos are there yet. But last week I began… I made it through week 1, 8/14 of week 2, week 3, 2/3 of week 4, 2/3 of week 5… I have not touched week 6… but discovered I needed to get a bit more yarn.

GASP! I have so much! Alas, I’m making this with Mission Falls 1824 Wool. I have a lot of black and red. That would NOT do. I mixed in all my other colors and then realized I needed more. I especially needed lighter colors. Yup. It’s true.

Everything you do online is part of your voice. You can have several different personas depending upon where you are working and what you are doing, but I feel it is important to consider crafting your voice.

Be deliberate - what do I wish to say here?

Whatever you put out there - stand behind it! Just be sure that it is the message you meant. =)

Don’t be angry, frustrated or disappointed regarding what others do. Focus in on your relationship with God. Watch your words and your actions so they are in alignment with your beliefs and feelings.

I had an opportunity to practice this weekend. I give myself an A for the conversation and a B- for the mulling which occurred after.

Wingspan is a free pattern for a shawl. It’s pretty. I have lots of yarn. I hear tell that this is an easy pattern. It looks easy.

I narrowed it down to two different yarns, then decided to use a third. The third was already balled up. “Golden Apples” by Pico Accuradi just might not be the right choice. It is actually called “Golden Apples of the sun”.

First I tried a size one needle. Ooop! Then a size five (because that was what was called for in the pattern). A little loose. So now I’m on a size four. The knitting is swift and the pattern is easy to follow. But will these colors break where they will look nice?

Perhaps this ball is designed for something else? (purchased 12/30/2010 - it might not be time for you yet). Could be a cool looking Baby Surprise Jacket? Although this is a very light weight yarn.

I’m working on the Tea Leaves cardi (for a child’s size 4 or 6… I haven’t had to choose yet). I’m using Trendsetter Merino 6 ply (color 688 lavender) and both a size 6 and size 7 needle (you’d have to read the pattern to follow that).

So far, I am LOVING it! I got the yarn about two years ago from “A Weaver’s Yarn” in Fairbanks, Alaska (hi Marty & Susan!)

Bought this at Fred Meyers the other week - liked the Kitty books. Really easy fluff. Easy read that can be engrossing.

It took me a little longer to get into superhero’s kids… I guess I do like vampires and werewolves.

Anyhow. Not bad. If it is at the library, read it. Don’t read it if you have teenage angst and unresolved issues with your parents.

From 11p-11:20 the first seven chapters… then from 4:05a (don’t ask) until about 7:10a … FINISHED it. Ate this book in two sittings. Yummo!

I’m reading “Committed” by Elizabeth Gilbert (http://www.elizabethgilbert.com/committed.htm) … I want to put it down and be unfaithful to it. I want to read a Tess Gerritsen book; I just can’t.

This book is good. The information is good. The storyline is gripping. It makes you think, only it did not tell you it was going to make you think. Verra nice!
