That's no fun
Ooops! (scratch Alaska Best Plumbing & Heating) Bigfoot Pumping & Thawing: Great job! Mike was fabulous… unfortunately there wasn’t anything wrong with the sump pump. What’s that mean? Now I need a plumber to fix the trap/block/valve that’s under the bathroom sink. Bummer!

Calories and clothes and chocolate...

Friday I was working on a new php script (actually cutting down and repurposing a script that was already in use.) I wanted to come up with a list of instructors and the classes they teach. Of course, making it more useful would be including a link for contact information (preferred contact) …
However, the data is stored as “instructor” … hmmm First Last, not Last, First....

There could be more Scrabble in my life; but life is good.
I got great news at work today: a few projects AND a relatively clear idea of what to strive for in the next month(s). I like that.
I also saw fabulous ideas on “gutter” planting and small space planting. Things that I think I can undertake even with my other projects.

Yesterday there was a lot of discussion of storms and tornados (during lunch.) It made me think of Japan and no looting, and the South and looting. Not every thought leads to knitting or scrabble, but this one did.

Asparagus not
My lunch, asparagus and zuchini (plus “Food Should Taste Good” multigrain chips). The asparagus was not happy about the reheating process. I should have ate it cold.
Interpretive reading
This evening at Sweet’s Pride Toastmasters (6pm) I will perform *ahem* two interpretive readings. One is by Jack London, it is a poem that is nestled within the chapters of “Iron Heel.” The other is “Mending Wall” by Robert Frost.

Damn gnomes
Gnomes got up at 2:30a (or was it 2:28a?) and proceeded to clean my whole apartment—ah, okay they didn’t do the toilet and they didn’t do the ‘bonus room.’ What’s up? They kept me awake until 4:30a …
Too bad they didn’t do all my financial entries too. Course those sleepy gnomes might have miss-keyed.
